New publication alert! IGDILab publishes work on the Language Environment Evaluation Report (LEER)
A new IGDILab publication was recently released by Early Childhood Research Quarterly
IGDILab has continued to publish research on the tools that support understanding multilingual language and literacy skills. This publication, titled, "Examining the role of a Continuum of Language Exposure and Use on Preschool Spanish Language and Early Literacy Skills" focuses on the Language Envionrment Evaluation Report (LEER). The LEER is a brief tool that families complete to help educators understand their multilingual students' linguistic profiles. Validity evidence was collected to demonstrate how the LEER helps educators understand if multilingual Spanish speakers are Spanish dominant, English dominant or have a more balanced linguistic profile with strenghts in Spanish and English.
